Pukapuka Social Inclusive Development Report 2016

The Disability Division through the Disability Inclusive Development Project was able to charter a flight to Pukapuka to conduct the awareness training on the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, as well as review of the Disability Action Plan for the island. Together with this initiative, a Ministry of Internal Affairs team accompanied this trip to Pukapuka, including the Welfare Division, the Labour Division, the Child & Family Division and the Social Impact Fund. All Divisions have program components in their outputs that addresses the issues of persons with disabilities in improving their lives and promoting their human rights.
